2025 Sussex Men’s Scratch Order of Merit – Final Standings Confirmed
The 2025 Sussex Men’s Scratch Order of Merit has now concluded following a competitive season across the county calendar.
The Order of Merit was open to all male Sussex-affiliated players and was decided across six qualifying Open events during the season. Points were awarded at each event based on finishing position, with each player’s best four performances counting towards their final total.

A total prize fund of £1,000 in vouchers will be distributed, and winners will be contacted shortly.
2025 Qualifying Events
The following Opens formed the 2025 Scratch Order of Merit:
The Beacon Trophy & Salver – Crowborough Golf Club
The Sussex Amateur Championship – Cowdray Park Golf Club
The Purley Trophy – Bognor Golf Club
The Winkley Smith Challenge Cup – Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club
The Cissbury Trophy – Worthing Golf Club
The Willingdon Bowl – Willingdon Golf Club
Points Structure
Points were awarded per Open as follows:
1st – 120 points
2nd – 90 points
3rd – 80 points
4th – 70 points
5th – 60 points
6th – 50 points
7th – 40 points
8th – 30 points
9th – 20 points
10th – 10 points
Players competing in pairs events received half of the points listed above.
Only a player’s top four counting scores across the season were included in the final standings.
