Sussex vs Kent - Rochester & Cobham Golf Club (Away)
Result: Sussex 5.5 - 6.5 Kent
Sussex ended their season with a narrow 5½–6½ loss to Kent at Rochester & Cobham Golf Club on Sunday, August 10. In hot, sunny conditions, Richard Leaves (Crowborough Beacon GC) paired with Rhys Nicholas (Ham Manor GC) as well as Richard Fung-On (Nevil) paired with Will Gibb (Nevil) both claimed a point in the foursomes. Setting the scores at 2-2 going into the afternoon.
The singles saw Rhys Nicholas and Richard Fung-On add further victories, Richard Leeves halving his match, and Chris Parsons securing another point, but Kent edged the contest overall 6.5 to 5.5.
It hasn't been Sussex's year but found some new talents, new personalities and formed a very close bond as a group.
