Challenge Team earn their first League win

Sussex vs Kent - East Brighton Golf Club(Home)
Result: Sussex 7 - 5 Kent

Our Challenge league team claimed there first victory of the year against a strong Kent side. We got off to a flying start in the morning foursomes, taking a commanding 3.5 - 0.5 lead into lunch.

After lunch, the afternoon singles proved to be a stamina match with little wind and heavy heat but the boys dug in to see it home. Massive well done to Drew Bailey (Pyecombe) and Mark Robertson (Haywards Heath) on securing two points for the team as well as Richard Hine who on his debut put up a comfortable 2 points with and 7&6 win in the afternoon.A great day and victory for the team - long may it continue
