The Jack Langmead Trophy

History

The Jack Langmead Trophy is a junior team event and historically has been for two club teams from each of the four county regions.  Each team has been made up of 6 players and the event is a handicap stableford.  There is no entry fee.

The event has been subject to qualification but the means of qualifying have varied significantly between the regions - some have a qualifying competition, some use positions in local junior leagues.

With effect from 2014:
a.  The number of Clubs participating will remain at 8 and players per team will be 4.  There will continue to be no entry fee.

b.  Clubs will automatically qualify to take part and the events are listed below - and it is hoped that the qualification opportunity will increase the enthusiasm for these events.

c.  The event will continue to be a team handicap stableford - all 4 scores per team to count.

Automatic qualification for 2015 will be given to:
A.  Winners of the Parson's Trophy (Gross)
B.  Winners of the Parson's Trophy (Net)
C.  Winners of the Andy Beer Trophy (Gross)
D.  Winners of the Andy Beer Trophy (Net)

G.  Winners of the 2014 Bury Plate - Boars Head Golf Club
