County Card

All male Junior Members of an Affiliated Golf Club in the Sussex County Golf Union, under the age of 18 years and with a handicap of 12 or under, are eligible to apply on the prescribed application form, obtainable from their Club Secretary or downloaded from this site.

The FORM shall be completed in all detail and signed by the applicant’s Club Secretary. On completion, application forms should be forwarded to the County Secretary together with the appropriate fee and a stamped addressed envelope.  Cards are valid until 31st December of the year of issue. Renewal cards are obtainable without application forms but must be accompanied with an up to date handicap certificate, the previous card, the appropriate fee and a stamped addressed envelope. The holder is, at the clubs discretion, allowed one round of golf at each course in the County. This may be free or at a reduced rate as permitted by the club. The card may NOT be used at weekends or Public Holidays.  The holder must contact the club in advance to check whether it is convenient to play and to ascertain if the club wishes to impose any conditions, such as being accompanied by an adult, times available to play, dress rules, etc.

WE WOULD REQUEST THAT THE CLUB SECRETARIES AND JUNIOR ORGANISERS ENSURE THAT JUNIOR APPLICANTS AND USERS OF THE JUNIOR COUNTY CARD ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SCHEME AS DEFINED ABOVE.
